How to cook "with visual instructions" "using familiar ingredients from your local grocery stores" healthy, traditional and delicious Japanese dishes!!
Today I will introduce you to “Homemade Chicken Teriyaki”.
This is a main dish I highly recommend. It is a very popular dish all over the world because it is very flavorful and extremely delicious!!
However, in my opinion in the U.S. the taste (from the sauce) is slightly different from Japanese Teriyaki. In the U.S. the Teriyaki sauce is too sweet by Japanese standards.
I want you to be able to taste “Authentic Teriyaki,” which has a great taste and is not greasy. And also I want to show you how to cook juicy chicken using a pan. The tip is pan-frying and steaming. This makes the chicken soft, juicy and perfectly moist.
The recipe is very easy. It takes less than 20 minutes.
Cook chicken and simmer it with seasonings.

This chicken meatball dish is incredibly flavorful! I love it!!! The ingredients are chicken, egg, green onion and ginger so it is very healthy (low fat and low calorie!!).
The meatballs themselves have a slightly salty taste so you can use the meatballs for your salad, pasta, soup, sandwiches and so on.
Today I introduce you to chicken meatballs TERIYAKI. It has a sweet-salty taste, which is made from common Japanese seasonings: soy sauce, cooking Sake, sugar and Mirin, so it is not a heavy taste. I am sure you won’t be able to stop eating once you’re first bite!!
Many people have soy sauce in the house in the US. You can also use white wine instead of cooking Sake (The dish tastes little bit different though).
I strongly recommend that buy Mirin and keep it in your home for cooking. It is sweet cooking rice wine and adds great sweetness and Umami to dishes, and importantly Mirin also reduces the fish smell in seafood dishes. You can use Mirin in most Japanese cooking, can use it when you need sweetness in any dish, and you also can brush your sweets with Mirin and beaten egg yolk right before you bake so they turn a nice brown and taste slightly sweet. This sweetness comes from rice saccharifying amylase.
Enjoy these incredibly healthy and flavorful Japanese-style chicken meatball TERIYAKI!!

Teriyaki chicken is one of the most famous Japanese foods.
The recipe is very easy to prepare and does not take a lot of time! Of course, it is very delicious!
Also, you can use the recipe to make fish teriyaki or Tofu teriyaki. So once you see this recipe, you can make any kind of teriyaki!
The seasonings used are soy sauce, sugar, Mirin (sweet cooking rice wine) and cooking Sake. We use these 4 seasonings a lot in Japanese cooking. You can get soy sauce and sugar at most grocery stores in the US. You can get Mirin and cooking Sake at many grocery stores or at any Asian market. You can use inexpensive Japanese Sake instead of cooking Sake if you are unable to find cooking sake. Mirin is a sweet cooking rice wine that adds Umami and a nice sweet taste to dishes.
Enjoy your Teriyaki!!
